About Us
Westfall Boyle O’Rourke is affiliated with An Coimisiún Le Rincí Gaelacha (CLRG), the world’s largest and most prestigious Irish dance organization. We are a competitive Irish dance school whose dancers regularly compete at the local, regional, national, and international levels. Westfall Boyle O’Rourke proudly serves dancers throughout the Southern Region and the Mid-Atlantic Region of the Irish Dancing Teachers Association of North America.

Shaun Boyle, TCRG, hails from Donegal, Ireland. He has been a registered teacher with CLRG since 2005 and has taught dancers all over the world with numerous international title winners to his credit. The holder of multiple championship titles himself, Shaun toured the world for nearly 10 years alongside Michael Flatley in the landmark spectacle of Lord of the Dance. Shaun is in high demand not just for his expertise in Irish dance, but also for his skills at styling dancers’ hair for competitions across the globe. Shaun emigrated to America several years ago and teaches in Maryland alongside his husband, Douglas. Shaun is thrilled to be joining forces with O’Rourke to continue to offer nothing less than the best of Irish dance instruction in the Southern and Mid-Atlantic regions.
LuAnn O’Rourke-Boyd, TCRG, ADCRG, BG
LuAnn O’Rourke-Boyd is the founder of O’Rourke Irish Dancers, which was based in New York from 1995 to 2018. During this time, the school flourished and achieved significant success in both Solo and Ceili dancing, earning numerous regional, national, and World Championship medals.
In 2018, LuAnn merged her school with the world-renowned Doherty Petri School of Irish Dancing, where she has played an integral role at the New York and Baltimore locations. Through her teaching and leadership, she has helped develop regional and national champions in both Solo and Ceili competitions. In addition to her teaching, LuAnn hosts two Feiseanna annually in the White Plains area, actively participates in local parades and festivals, and has appeared on various television programs.
In February 2026, LuAnn is excited to continue her teaching journey by joining the Westfall-Boyle Academy of Irish Dance, merging with longtime friends and colleagues Doug Westfall, ADCRG, and Shaun Boyle, TCRG.
LuAnn received her T.C.R.G. (Teachers Certificate Rince Gaelacha) from An Coimisiún Le Rincí Gaelacha in 1994, followed by her A.D.C.R.G. in 2007, qualifying her to adjudicate Irish dance competitions internationally. In 2024, she successfully passed her Bun Grad (BG) examination, allowing her to serve as a Grade Examiner for CLRG.
LuAnn regularly adjudicates Feiseanna throughout the United States and Canada and has judged at many prestigious events, including Regional Qualifiers, the North American Irish Dance Championships, the European Qualifier, and the Irish Dancing World Championships

Kelly Pappas, TCRG began Irish Dance at age 10 as one of the first students at O'Rourke Irish Dancers when it opened its doors in 1995. Her love of competing led her to become the first student in the O’Rourke School to reach Preliminary Championships, as well as the first to attend the Mid-Altantic Oireachtas as a solo competitor.
Throughout high school, Kelly was an assistant teacher at O’Rourke and took a short break from teaching to attend college at Fordham University in New York City, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in 2007. After returning from college, Kelly joined O’Rourke once again as an assistant teacher. She also competed on the adult 8-Hand and 4-Hand teams, winning both regional and national championships. Kelly earned her T.C.R.G. in 2012.
Kelly currently teaches beginner classes at the New Rochelle location.
